Yogaland! The Australian Adventure Created by a children's yoga specialist, yoga is learned through story engaging children's' bodies, minds and imaginations. Exercise, calm and the yoga movent are all disguised as fun. Adult Juror Comments: Lovely film. Not just a yoga class but explores nature and travel as well. If you are at all interested in yoga, you'll enjoy this as something to share with the young people in your life. It encourages participation and interaction. The Australian backdrop is lovely with beautiful cinematography. The host is direct with a soothing tone to her voice that at times is a bit over the top. It is divided into sections, which makes it easy to watch in segments. She relates well to the kids without ever saying that anyone is doing anything wrong and is constantly supportive. One yoga instructor felt that it strayed a bit from traditional yoga classes with things such as hopping and running but applauded the efforts to get kids moving. Kid Juror Comments: Loved it, especially enjoyed the animals. They participated - all to some degree but the younger set seemed most engaged. "I think the lady was talking more to younger kids." The kids enjoyed the cinematography and recognized that this took place in a different place than they live. They loved seeing animals such as koala bears and kangaroos. Age: 5-8.
